Who we are
The People Engine is based in Guernsey, Channel Islands. We are the controller of the personal information described on this page. You can reach us at [email protected].
What we collect
- The details you give us through the contact form or by email: your name, email address, subject, and message.
- Correspondence between you and us.
- Basic technical information collected by the website and our hosting, such as IP address, browser type, and the pages you visit, held in server logs.
Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and, if you ask us to, to discuss working together.
- To run, secure, and improve this website.
- To meet legal obligations.
We rely on your request to talk to us, our legitimate interest in running a secure business website, and legal obligations.
Who we share it with
We use trusted providers for hosting, email, and website tools. They act on our instructions and only receive what they need. We do not sell personal information.
Transfers outside Guernsey
Some providers may process information outside the Bailiwick of Guernsey. Where that happens, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details for as long as we need them to respond and to keep a sensible record of our conversations, then delete them. We keep server logs for a short period for security.
Your rights
Under the Data Protection (Bailiwick of Guernsey) Law, 2017, you can ask to see the information we hold about you, correct it, have it deleted, restrict or object to how we use it, and in some cases receive it in a portable form. Email [email protected] and we will respond promptly.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Office of the Data Protection Authority in Guernsey.
Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect personal information, including access controls and secure connections.
Changes
We will update this page if our practices change and show the date at the top.
